Feb 12 Low Cost Spay/Neuter Celebrating World Spay Day!

Currently on St Croix we have an out-of-control pet overpopulation problem. Starving and neglected pets are  picked up daily by our foster partners or brought into Sugar Mill Veterinary Center. This is a problem that we can solve TOGETHER. The answer is simply - SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS.

Sunshine Foundation will accept up to 20 cats and dogs for low cost spay/neuter and feral cat TNVR services by appointment only.

You can register here online or by dropping in to Sugar Mill Veterinary Center.
Payment is required in advance!

Sunshine Foundation's mission is to end pet overpopulation by offering low cost spay/neuter services to the community of St Croix, US Virgin Islands. www.sunshinefoundationstx.org

SUPER LOW COST RATES
In Celebration of Spay/Neuter Awareness Month for our Clinics are as follows:

Community TNVR (feral cat Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) $10
Community cats are not owned cats. These cats live comfortably in the wild and are regularly fed and managed by volunteers (or you) in your neighborhood or at local businesses. Community cats MUST be presented in humane cat traps (if you do not have one, Sunshine Foundation can arrange in advance to lend you a trap with a $50 deposit). As part of our TNVR service, community cats are tested for Feline Leukemia/Feline AIDs and then vaccinated for common feline upper respiratory diseases. They are then spayed or neutered and the tip of their left ear is snipped off for identification.

Pet Owners with Financial Need:

  • Owned Cats $10
  • Owned Dogs $10

At Sunshine Foundation we recognize that part of the problem of overpopulation is a result of pet owner's not being able to afford to spay and neuter their pets. We want to help you to be a part of the solution. Pet owners with proof of financial need qualify for our lowest cost options. To qualify you must present a valid, state issued picture ID and proof (with the same name/address) of any of the following: Social Security Income, Medicad/Medicare, Disability Income, or Foodstamp Benefits (EBT card).

**Note: If you do not have the identification above but have experienced financial distress due to Hurricane Maria or own more than three pets that need to be fixed, please let us know and we will work with you!!

Low Cost for Owned Pets:

  • Cats $25
  • Dogs $25
