This competition is about creativity and you will be judged primarily on your artistic abilities!
The Rules:
There is a $10 entry fee to hold your competition spot. All competitors must be present at the start of the competition where you will be given the instructions for a basic triangular shawl template. You may use any yarn, in any weight or fiber content you wish. The shape is the basis for the long routine, but the rest of your pattern design is up to you! Be creative! Ideas of some techniques you can use are stripes, colorwork, lace, and marling, but there are so many others out there for you to explore! There is no requirement on how many or how few techniques or colors you use. We kindly ask that you use yarn purchased from our shop for this competition. Your entry fee will be credited toward your purchase or toward a future purchase if you would like to use previously purchased yarn.
Knitters of all levels are invited to compete! The basic skills required for this event are the knit stitch, kfb and k2tog. If you would like to compete and are not familiar with these stitches, feel free to pop in before the competition and we will show you how they work.
