Successful Completion

To receive contact hours or CERPs for this program, the registrant must sign in on the sign-in sheet, attend the entire program, initial out on the sign-in sheet and complete and submit an on-line program evaluation form. Certificates of attendance will be generated electronically within one week of the close of the on-line evaluation period.

About the Event

This program was created by local nurses and lactation consultants specifically to address the challenges faced by nurses who support breastfeeding mothers and babies in hospital maternity centers.

Learner Outcomes 

As a result of attending this continuing nursing education program, participants will be able to:

  • State two strategies that can realistically be used in the participant’s hospital practice for each of the following:
     - Addressing mom's fear of lack of milk
     - Getting breastfeeding off to a good start
     - Assessing breastfeeding
  • Successfully demonstrate three skills necessary for providing care to breastfeeding mothers and infants
