Alphapointe Social Skills Workshop

We are pleased announce a special evening of training for parents…with a unique corresponding training opportunity for kids and teens.

Alphapointe & the Kansas State School for the Blind is bringing Dr. Sharon Sacks to Kansas City for a night of knowledge and networking.

Dr. Sacks is co-author of Teaching Social Skills to Students with Visual Impairments: From Theory to Practice, a nationally circulated book designed to help their visually impaired youth build social skills. Wine and cheese will be served for parents.

During the parents event,  children & youth, ages 6 and up, will enjoy pizza, an art workshop, and an introductory self-defense class.

Both sighted and V.I. youth are welcome to attend.
