Georgia ITE March Monthly Meeting 


Topic: Using Data for Signals, Safety and Other Cool Stuff: A Penel Discussion on the Use of Data at the TMC

Description: Join Georgia ITE for a double-header at the March meeting. Up first will be a panel discussion on how GDOT Traffic Ops is using big data to deliver their programs in a more effective way. The panel discussion will begin with a brief overview of the data currently available and being used by Traffic Ops and will then feature a time for questions and answers from the audience. Moderated by Alan Davis, the panel will include Matt Glasser (GDOT RTOP Program Manager), Sam Harris (GDOT RTOP Supervisor) and Dave Adams (GDOT State Safety Program Manager). 

Student Chapter Traffic Bowl Competition:  Come watch and cheer on our three student chapters this month. The student teams from Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, and Georgia Southern will battle it out in this Jeopardy style competition for a years worth of bragging rights and to represent GAITE at the SDITE Annual Meeting in Mobile, AL. Traffic Bowl may run until 1:30pm.

Early Cost/Registration:   $30 Private Sector Member, $20 Public Sector Members, $15 Life Members, $10 Job Seekers, $35 for non-Members. On-line registration via the ITE website (link below) ends on Monday, March 5th at midnight, or once the room limit is reached.

Student Cost: Students are still FREE for all GAITE Monthly Meetings if you register online! Walk-up students will be subject to Non-Member fee.

Late Cost/Registration: Walk-ups are welcome at the door as space allows; walk-ups and late registrants will be charged $5 extra.
