Palliative Care: What It Is And What It Isn't

Are you familiar with the term palliative care?

Palliative care is treatment of the discomfort, symptoms, and stress of serious illness.
It provides relief from distressing symptoms.  Those who receive these services find clear benefits such as decreased symptom burden and enhanced well-being.

Palliative Care can also be used for chronic, non-fatal illnesses.

Learn how you can make palliative care work for you and your loved ones.

The speaker, Janet Haas, practices palliative medicine and is on the staff of the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Haas will be accompanied by Briana Morgan, NP, and Jenny Egg, LSW.
