The purpose of this conference is to advance the cause of church planting within the Anglican Church in North America by
building relationships,
provoking thought, and
providing practical training
for church planters and church planting leaders. Specifically, we will address the unique needs of planting sacramental, missional, Anglican churches.
Our intention is for this to be a very relational and practical gathering with less talking-heads and more specific training. So, the conference begins with a lawn party with Archbishop Beach starting at 4pm. There will be BBQ, libations from a local brewery, lawn games, live music, and a great atmosphere for hanging out as a church planting family. We move from there to the teaching and training aspects of the conference.
TRACKS
In order to make church planting accessible to many different leaders, make our training as specific as possible, and allow us to go deeper in our time together, we offer five different tracks aimed at equipping leaders for church planting from different perspectives. You will be asked to register for one of the tracks on the following page.
1. Pre-Launch to Launch (Preparing to Birthing)
...for folks who are in the early stages of planting from just beginning to discern a call and explore planting in the Anglican tradition to those who are gathering and training a launch team.
2. Post Launch (Maturing)
... geared towards planters and their teams who have a public expression of their church plant. Topics will include how to leverage the gifts of the Anglican tradition for disciple-making, setting up the proper systems, continued evangelism, and dynamic worship.
3. Multiplying Churches (Multiplying)
...for established churches who want to plant more churches. Topics will include models for multiplication, preparing your church for planting, etc.
4. Planter Spouses
...gathering those who are called to the important ministry role of being the spouse of a church planter. Veteran and new planter spouses will define the opportunities and challenges of this unique role and answer questions. Spouses of current planters are invited to attend for free (see code below).
5. Bishops
...we are inviting our bishops to a track that explores what it takes to support the work of church planting in your diocese. We will explore the needed leaders, systems, strategy, and emphasis that are required to see your diocese flourish in this work.
COST
The registration fee is $150, which includes all conference materials, dinner on Thursday night, with lunch, and dinner on Friday included as well.
