a reception and dinner, CCMS business agenda, and 1-hour CME credit with an educational panel and Q&A. Complimentary for CCMS members and one guest each.

“Legal Updates for Physicians"

Objectives:
1. Explain the healthcare providers' duty to protect patients' data and ensure the confidentiality of all electronic protected health information.
2. Conduct useful due diligence to evaluate a vendor that handles the healthcare providers' electronic records and employ essential provisions in agreements with such vendors to protect these records.
3. Design a plan to be prepared for and respond to a data breach.
4. Identify the basics of the purchase and sale of a medical practice and differentiate between the purchase of assets.
5. Perform effective pre-closing due diligence examination and analyze accounts receivable.
6. Discuss best practices for contracting with physician partners.
