($125 for members, $145 for non-members) 
NOTE THAT BOTH FIELD TOURS ARE FULL AT THIS TIME. 

Join us for the 2018 Summer Meeting of the NC Division at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Bern Riverfront, 100 Middle Street, New Bern, NC 28560 (252-638-3585). The meeting agenda includes excellent speakers, the annual awards banquet, the NC SAF Business Meeting, a lively social on Thursday night and two  excellent tour options on Friday. 

The summer meeting is always an excellent value with modest registration fees, 4.0 CFE in Category 1-CF on both days for a total of 8, and lots of networking time with exhibitors and your fellow members and their families. The Friday field tour is included for everyone registering for the full summer meeting, or for those who can only attend on Friday, there is a tour-only option.

7:30 – 12:30 pm** - Tour A: Stream Mitigation/Solar Farm Tour (van transportation provided)

7:30 – 3:30 pm** Tour B: Wind Farm Tour (lunch and van transportation provided)

**Both tours will return to the Doubletree Hotel, New Bern parking lot.

JUNE 8TH TWO TECHNICAL TOURS TO CHOOSE FROM

When registering for the meeting, you will be asked to indicate your preference for the "Mitigation/Solar Farm Tour" or the "Wind Farm Tour." Both tours will depart from the DoubleTree Hotel parking lot at 7:30 AM on Fridy morning.

 

• The Mitigation/Solar Farm will return to the DoubleTee parking lot by noon. May 24, 2018 WAITING LIST NOTICE: This tour is on a waiting list basis. So if you select this tour, you will not have a guarenteed seat. If a cancellation occurs we will add you to the tour and send you a confirmation.  
• The Wind Farm Tour will return by 3PM (lunch provided). May 24, 2018 WAITING LIST NOTICE: This tour is on a waiting list basis. So if you select this tour, you will not have a guarenteed seat. If a cancellation occurs we will add you to the tour and send you a confirmation.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Bern Riverfront, 100 Middle Street, New Bern, NC 28560 (252-638-3585). All meeting sessions take place in this waterfront hotel which has ample free parking. 

NEW BERN LODGING 

You can find a large number of lodging options within walking distance of the meeting location using this Google map link. 

At the DoubleTree, a limited supply of rooms are held in the name "Society of American Foresters" until May 21, 2018, first come, first served. The rate of $109/night+tax is available for single or double occupancy for the nights of June 6 and 7, 2018. Note that the lodging tax in New Bern is 12.5%. SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE ITEMS

The summer meeting is a great time to contribute to the future of our profession through the silent auction and the 50/50 raffle, both of which support the Funderburke Endowment.
