Rebuilding Guardianship:
An Honest Conversation

Taking a look at anti-guardianship movements and how we can effectively respond to an uphill battle

In recent years opponents of guardianship, including disenfranchised family members, celebrity cases, disability rights advocates, and media outlets eager for sensational news have controlled the conversation and have succeeded in tearing down public perception of those who serve some of the most vulnerable persons in our communities. We’ll explore together how NGA’s standards of practice gives us an opportunity to shift the momentum and develop strategies to rebuild our brand.
