CMRO-PWP & POMS CCS Training- May 16, 23, & 30, 2018 - Baltimore

The DDA has contracted with two vendors to provide mandatory training for all Coordinators of Community Services (CCSs) on Person-Centered Planning and Personal Outcomes Measures®. There will be a three-day training sequence that will take place over a three-week period in each region. Each day of training will require a prerequisite to continue to the subsequent training day. This is a mandatory training for ALL CCSs relative to the Long Term Services Supports (LTSS) training, expected to begin in May.

Planning with People is a two-day course for CCSs to practice person-centered thinking skills. This will prepare you to support people in directing their person-centered planning. This training will consist of Day One and Day Two training, one week apart. Each day of training will be offered twice in the same week in each region to allow maximum flexibility for your schedule.

Introduction to Personal Outcome Measures® is a one-day training from the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) as an overview of the Outcome Measures, how it works and why it is so essential. CQL will discuss the interview process, offer insight into decision-making, and then detail how it can be used to transform supports and services. This will be Day Three of the CCSs training, which will be held one week after the Day Two training.

Again, this is sequential training, so you must register and attend each of the day trainings in order (you must complete Day One before Day Two and Day Two before completing Day Three).

You may sign up for training and have the flexibility to complete any of the sequential trainings in any region. For example, you may take Day One in Central Region and Day Two in Eastern Region.

If for some reason a CCS is not able to attend a scheduled training there will be an assessed fee of $50 to be charged to the responsible agency. The CCS agencies can substitute an attendee to avoid the $50.00 no show fee.
