"Improving Big D’s Quality of Life with Smart City Model"

What is a smart city? The definition varies, but the Dallas Innovation Alliance envisions it as a city where data, technology and community initiatives converge to improve economic development, resource efficiency and importantly - quality of life. At the March CREW Dallas luncheon, DIA Executive Director Jennifer Sanders will talk about the organization’s public-private partnership model, which has led to the development of a multi-phased smart city strategy in Dallas that involves working with stakeholders across the public, private, civic and academic centers, and has resulted in the launch of a "Living Lab" in the West End Historic District. Come hear about Big D’s multiple smart city projects which range from improved lighting to pedestrian tracking, as well as neighborhood business and real estate impact, environmental quality, parking, water and others.
