Women and Compulsive Gambling

This training will outline the definition of gambling along with an understanding of the criteria to diagnose compulsive gambling.  This training will provide an in depth understanding of women and gambling.  The participants will take away treatment strategies when working with a woman compulsive gambler. 

 Goals & Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn effective screening/assessment tools in order to diagnose a compulsive gambler.
  2. Participants will be able to describe the differences between a male and female gambler.
  3. Participants will have a better understanding of the complexities of working with woman compulsive gamblers.
  4. Participants will take away treatment strategies specifically for woman compulsive gamblers.

Coleen Moore holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).  She is also Certified as an Advanced Addictions Clinician through the Illinois Certification Board.  Coleem has worked in the Addiction Recovery field for over 15 years and has had the pleasure of training hundreds of clinicians regarding the complexity of Process Addictions.
