SCORE Boston Workshop:

Developing A WordPress Website

Your website is the integrated online resource for your business. As a pillar of your marketing effort, it allows you to publish content, collect emails, attract customers to your offerings, and even take orders. The webhosting solution needs to connect with the right market segments; students, professionals and entrepreneurs are three possible audiences.

WordPress is a free website management tool that makes it very easy to create, maintain and update your website without learning to program. A WordPress theme provides the front end styling of your website, such as page layouts, fonts and colors, making it easy to create a great-looking site quickly. Plugins allow you to add custom functions and features. This free workshop will cover choosing and registering a domain name, creating a hosting account, installing WordPress, designing a site with a theme, adding pages and posts, and learning how to use the dashboard.
