Becoming an indispensable function – Playing the role of an Internal Consultant

An unattainable long-term goal for every Sourcing/Supply Chain organization has been to become an Internal Consultant.  This role has been identified as critical to the success of every Sourcing/Supply Chain function, the path to getting to the C-Suite for the head of the function and converting the function to a highly desirable place to work and a talent factory for the rest of the corporation.  In this highly interactive workshop, we will discuss:

  • Why playing that role is critical
  • How to change the perception and get acceptance for that role
  • What kind of competencies are needed
  • Explore the consulting process used by every major consulting firm – a mini bootcamp!
  • Learn the secret sauce that consultants use – from consultants!!

Throughout the Category Management/Supply Chain process one of the greatest challenges is the variety and quantity of data that needs to be gathered and synthesized to put together a strong business case.  Participants will learn a simple approach to cutting through the massive quantities of data to get to fact-based recommendations for their client.

You definitely do not want to miss this workshop

Wave of the future – Contingent Labor

There is an ongoing war for talent, and every CPO should be aware of the top trends (and reasons behind them) of companies turning to contingent workforce to round out their employment needs. The session will focus on creating awareness to the trends, ways to harness the benefits the strategy can being, as well as ways to manage the increasing risks, costs and challenges. Managing the rise of the contingent workforce can increase innovation, agility, and create a competitive advantage.  This workshop will cover:

  • An overview on trends, risks / challenges, benefits / solutions / competitive advantage it can create from a SME
  • Medtronic speaking about their program and the newest program evolution they implemented to address the growing strategic importance for their contingent workforce
  • Breakout session where participant will explore Next Practices
