Accommodations
A group rate has been secured at the The Westin Nova Scotian, Halifax (1181 Hollis Street, Halifax). A Traditional Queen room can be booked for $199 per night (plus taxes). Additional 3rd or 4th person in the room will be charged $20.00 per person. Upgraded rooms (harbourviews) are an additional $20.00.

Self-parking is available for $20 per day. Please book before April 10th, 2018 as the rate is subject to availability.

Maggie Chapman, P.Dt.
Engage in an Interactive Roundtable discussion of Adults, Children and Parents living with PKU moderated by Maggie Chapman, Metabolic Dietitian at IWK Health Centre.
Brian Goetz, MD
A PKU adult and recent Medical School Graduate who will discuss his life with PKU and his experiences with the investigational drug Pegvaliase (formerly Peg-PAL) during his clinical trial.
Xavier Lebouthillier and France Comeau, CPA
A PKU supermom of four and a soon-to-be 12 year old Classic PKU swimmer, who is one of New Brunswick’s best swimmers in his age group, will discuss competitive sport and PKU (and how nothing, including his PKU, will stop him from achieving his goals).
Tanya Chute Nagy
CanPKU’s Vice President with updates on CanPKU, Camp MagniPHEque, Kuvan, and the Disability Tax Credit.
Breakout Session
Attendees will be separated into the following groups to further discuss issues relevant to them.
1. PKU Older Kids/Teens
2. Parents
3. PKU Adults)
As usual we will provide on-site childcare at no additional charge for registered children 12 and under, have several metabolic vendors present with samples, and we will provide PKU-friendly snacks and lunch.
The Education and Networking Event, including meals, childcare, access to vendors and presentations, requires a nominal fee to confirm participation and defray the costs of hosting the event. If you wish to receive the CanPKU Member discount, please sign up for a membership by clicking here, and take note of your confirmation code. An annual membership fee is only $20 so this does indeed save you money!
CanPKU Member: $15, plus $10 per additional guest
Non Member: $50, plus $10 per additional guest.
