This 2 hour introductory workshop focuses on the basics of testing your business idea and identifying the key factors that influence start-up success. Start-up Basics provides you with an overview of the skills and tools you need when deciding to start a business. In this session, you learn about: the advantages and disadvantages of owning a business, the most profitable form for your business, and the fundamentals of formation, organization, marketing, branding, cash flow and funding sources.

About the Presenters

This seminar will be presented by several Monmouth SCORE Mentors, each of whome have extensive knowledge of the topics to be covered.

Maureen Dalton is a Strategic Marketing / Sales Director VP.  Maureen has deep knowledge of the telecommunications and insurance industries.

Bill Mirkin is a retired CPA who had his own practice in Monmouth County for 35 + years.  Bill is knowledgeable in all aspects of starting, maintaining and growing a small business.

Gene Wolf  has led  many small technology companies, including start ups from ground zero to multi million dollar companies.  He has been involved with all aspects of business and growing organizations and has also been involved with several exit strategies.
