REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT 2018: COMMUNITY FORUM

Please join Live Green Connecticut, Fairfield University's Environmental Studies Program, LEAF: Leaders for Environmental Action and Fairfield's Earth Day Celebration at Fairfield University for our Regional Conference on Sustainable Development 2018: Community Forum. The RCSD Community Forum will highlight three major initiatives that emerged out of the RCSD 2018 at Grace Farms, February 7th. Subject Matter Experts willl lead three interactive break out sessions, that will guide participants in conversations that will identify projects that can be implemented in our communities. Fairfield University students will provide research on each topic.

Those who are interested, in staying connected and getting more involved, will be invited to join project action teams that will commit to work together in a variety of ways, for six months on a project related to one of the Forum topics, and will present outcomes at the RCSD 2018 Fall Symposium.

Featured Initiatives for Discussion and Action:

  • Fracking Waste Ban
  • Statewide Plastic Bag Fee
  • Zero Waste Communities
