Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) Certification Class 2018
LHA Trust Funds and HSLI will host an exam prep class and the exam for the Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) credentials on August 23 and 24 in Baton Rouge, LA.
The CHSP credential was established to focus on the importance of using management principles to improve the safety performance of healthcare organizations. Since 1978, the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (IBCSM) has issued more than 3,200 CHSP credentials. The broad scope of the CHSP Exam attracts applicants from various healthcare backgrounds including, but not limited to, safety, security, infection prevention, employee health, nursing, quality improvement, administration, risk management, facility management, plant operations, hazardous materials management, emergency management, life safety, biomedical services, environmental services, laboratory operations, nursing homes, surgery centers, insurance loss control, and safety consulting.
The prep class and exam will be presented and proctored by Jim Tweedy, Executive Director of the IBCSM. The exam content and sample exam questions can be found here. All candidates must attend the full day of class on August 23 in order to sit for the test on the morning of August 23. We will dismiss at noon on the second day. Lunch on the first day is included in the registration fees.
In addition to registering the event through HSLI, all candidates must also complete an application including two professional references. The BCHCM will process the application. After processing is finished, each applicant will receive a PDF study guide via email from the BCHCM.
This online application is REQUIRED (not optional). We suggest you complete the application and registration for the event simultaneously. Delayed application for BCHCM will result in delayed delivery of the PDF study guide.
Please do not submit payment on the application page. The fees below are all inclusive for this event through LHA Trust Funds so all payments must be made to the Trust Funds.

A $130 application fee and $70 study material expense are non-refundable should you elect to withdraw your application and/or not attend the exam prep and exam.
