2018 IL Conference Annual Celebration

WELCOME to the 2018 IL Conference Annual Celebration. Please go to www.ilucc.org to read/download the "Registration Information Booklet" where you will find important details. Here are some highlights from that booklet:

• Registration: Friday 10:00 a.m. in Hammerschmidt Chapel
• Friday Opening Worship at 1:00 p.m. in Hammerschmidt Chapel, Rev. Dr. Vertie Powers
• Energizers A: Friday 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.  (class size is limited)
• Energizers B: Friday 4:15 - 5:15 p.m. (class size is limited)
  
• Parking is free
• Child care is available if requested before May 28, 2018
• Friday Celebration Banquet at 6:15 p.m. at The Diplomat West, 681 West North Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Saturday Keynote Speaker Bishop Yvette Flunder "Preparing to be Sanctuary" Ex. 15:3
• Saturday Closing Worship preachers are Rev. Kathy Lawes and Rev. Tom Norwalk

Exec. Board meets May 9 and will examine all Resolutions to determine that they are properly submitted. The 100 signature petition type emergency resolutions will be severely limited to those that could not have been contemplated by the May 8 deadline. In past years we have accepted emergency petitions that were not an emergency to anyone but the folks who didn’t get around to it sooner. This isn’t fair to the delegates who don’t have proper time to study! So...12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 is the deadline for Associations, Congregations and Committees to submit resolutions to Conference Office in order to be placed on the agenda for the 2018 Annual Celebration. Electronic submission (Word format) are preferred, but paper submissions are possible. Contact your Associate Conference Minister for assistance.

DORM HOUSING: rooms are set up as quads (2 separate sleeping rooms with 2 beds per room $43/per/night.) There are limited rooms with one bed in some quds for $62/night.

 OPTIONAL HOTEL RESERVATIONS: If you opt to stay at a local hotel instead of the dorm you will need to make your reservation. Ask for Elmhurst College discount.
