Thursday Classics and Foiling at Oakcliff
NEW! Thursday Nights will now see both Classics and Foiling boats on the water. We can't wait to see the great shots of classics and foilers mingling at sunset .
Every Thursday night throughout the summer the Oakcliff 's Classics and other antique yachts come together for a gentle race around the harbor. This is a wonderful opportunity to race on some museum quality Classic yachts. Report time is 5:15 pm for this pursuit start race. Leave from the Oyster Bay Marine Center, take a launch out to the Classics and join a team for the night. Finish racing and retire to Oakcliff for a fun Thursday night BBQ. We ask that you contribute $20 per person. You can pay in advance (preferred) when you register.

Foiling Supporters (a higher level of supporter) https://www.oakcliffsailing.org/support-us/donate/ can sign up for foiling. Report time is 5 pm at Oakcliff Sailing. Teams and boats will be assigned and then head for the beach. We will use a "light" system to determine likeliy hood of foiling for the evening. By 1 pm we will go with red light - no foiling today - or green light - come on down, we think the conditions will support high performance sailing. After screaming around the harbor on fast boats, bring your appitite back to Oakcliff and enjoy a BBQ dinner. This is $20 per person and you can pay in advance (preferred) when you register.
This is typical Oakcliff merging two different types fo sailing to create great opportunites for all sailors. This is what happens when we run out of days in a week.
