2018 KEA Student Program State Student Assembly 

The KEA Student Program’s State Student Assembly is KEA SP’s concluding conference each year. Join other aspiring educators for the final meeting on April 13-14 at the EKU Perkins Conference Center (also known as the Planetarium Center). There will be networking, professional and leadership development and a business session during which new officers will be elected, chapter awards given out and participants selected to attend the NEA Student Leadership Conference in Bloomington, MN, June 27-30, 2018. On-line conference registration will begin on March 16 and will close on April 1 at 5:00 pm. There are no exceptions to the registration date. 

Please Note - The number of delegates for each chapter, whose expenses will be funded by KEA SP, will be computed on March 16. The number is based on chapter membership as of March 15 and each chapter receives one delegate per every ten members rounded up if 5 or more. For instance, a chapter with 86 members would get 9 delegates. Chapter advisors will send in the names of chapter delegates to State Student Program Organizer Rosalind Bryant (see contact information on the left) by April 2.

State Funded Delegates - KEA SP will pay all conference expenses for chapter delegates including one night’s stay at the Quality Inn (Friday night), food and mileage. Delegates must stay until the conference ends on Saturday in order to receive a travel voucher. (The Quality Inn is located at 2006 Colby Taylor Drive, Richmond, KY 40475)

Non- Delegates - Non-delegates may attend but must register. No expenses will be paid for non-delegates by KEA SP although local chapters can fund them. If desired, hotel reservation should be made directly by calling the Quality Inn at 859-623-0063. The KEA room rate is $100 plus taxes and reservations must be made by April 4 in order to receive that rate. 

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Registered delegates who need to cancel a hotel reservation must do so no later than Monday, April 2, 2017 by contacting State Student Organizer Rosalind Bryant.
