Heightening Security Awareness About Vulnerabilities in Higher Education

Join us as FBI officials share their perspectives on the role of higher education in national security. This event is a unique and free opportunity to learn directly from FBI personnel who are charged with protecting U.S. infrastructure including research institutions. At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify vulnerable areas found in the university environment,

  • Describe how these sensitive areas are targeted,

  • Recognize and manage threats,

  • Identify common cyber security concerns in the research environment and,

  • Describe methods to protect yourself and your research. 

The target audience for this event is faculty conducting research or producing intellectual property, anyone involved in creating or managing sensitive or proprietary data, security officials, safety personnel, information technology personnel and anyone interested in national security.
