This 4-Day, 30 Hour education and training event is the only Georgia State Board of Optometry approved coursework for the certification for use of injectables. This course has been developed by and will be presented by Southern College of Optometry. Class size is limited to 144, register early to reserve your spot today as no additional courses are planned at this time.
Chapter 430-14 CERTIFICATION FOR USE OF INJECTABLES
RULE 430-14-.01 Certification Requirements
1. A doctor of optometry may be certified by the Board to administer pharmaceutical agents by injection for diagnosis or treatment purposes if one of the following conditions are met:
(a) The doctor of optometry has successfully completed an injectable training program that has been approved by the Board consisting of a minimum of thirty (30) hours; or,
(b) The doctor of optometry is enrolled in an injectable training program that has been approved by the Board consisting of a minimum of thirty (30) hours and is under the direct supervision of a physician licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (O.C.G.A. § 43-34) who is board certified in ophthalmology.

• Each Wet Lab is for a three hour period.
• Each Wet Lab Group will contain no more than 30 attendees each, no exceptions!
• Attendees will choose which wet lab period they would like to attend at the time of registration.
• If 1st requested lab period is full at the time of registration, you will be assigned into the next available lab period and notified of the change.
• Attendees are dismissed upon the conclusion of their Skills Lab Session.
*Breaks will be provided throughout the day, however break times are at the discretion of the lecturers.
