Miss Mittie Bulloch grew up at Bulloch Hall and was a young lady who loved fun, adventure, games, being outdoors and exploring. As a young lady of the mid-nineteenth century she also learned social graces. Miss Mittie grew up and married Theodore Roosevelt Sr. and then became the mother of President Teddy Roosevelt.
At Miss Mittie's Academy young ladies will delight in experiencing the history of entertaining and daily life from the 1800s to today. Bulloch Hall offers the opportunity for girls from ages 9 to 12 to explore a historic site, participate in special crafts, and learn social graces, including manners, etiquette, fashion and refinement. Other activities at the camp may include basic stitching, setting a table, conversation, cooking, games, etc. This year Debbie Cwalina, Co-Founder of Be the Voice, will share how your child can be the voice that stops bullying. Every young lady would benefit greatly from this week. Parents and children will enjoy the gracious heritage passed on from one of Roswell’s founding families with a final tea.
The camp is 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 25-29, 2018. The cost is $195 ($180 for members of the Friends of Bulloch Hall)
