Setting Your Organizational Strategy

Strategic planning is about the answering two questions: what is the future state we want to get to, and what is the pathway to get there?  The methodologies to explore these questions are many, a “plan” doesn’t have to be an epic tome, and condensed timeframes reflect a rapidly changing operating environment.  If you’re looking for some ideas about different ways you could approach setting your organization’s strategy, this is your session.  If you envision not only a crisp, clear plan for your future but also an inclusive planning process that gets everyone’s ideas on the table and creates a sense of ownership throughout your organization – this is definitely your session.  The presenter will offer Do-it-Yourself tools and is eager to hear your ideas.  See you there!

Since 2017, Allison Handler has worked with nonprofit organizations and local governments on strategic planning, organizational assessment, business development, fundraising planning and financial feasibiliy. She knows the challenges firsthand, having been in the nonprofit and public sector trenches. As a nonprofit board leader, executive director and staff member, she has wrestled with the same kinds of issues and questions as many of Solid Ground's clients.
