Attendee substitutions are permitted, but notification must be made in writing by Friday, June 15, 2018. After this date, under no circumstances will refunds, credits, or substitutions be granted. No refunds or credits will be given to "no shows".
Purpose/Goals/Outcomes
The Brain Injury Symposium of Mid-Michigan will enhance the attendees knowledge of brain injury rehabilitation. This event features presenters who are leading local, state, and international service professionals targeted towards professionals in healthcare, rehabilitation, and other health service industries.

• Various methods to manage pain
• Benefits and focus of neurologic music therapy
• Intensive physical concepts, tools, and application in neuro-rehabilitation
• The dynamics and prevalence of human trafficking within the brain injury community
2018 Keynote Speaker
Amy Zellmer
Amy Zellmer is an award-winning author, speaker, and traumatic brain injury survivor. She is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and also produces a podcast series for survivors and caregivers. In November, 2015 she released her first book, Life With a Traumatic Brain Injury: Finding the road Back to Normal, which received a silver award at the Midwest Book Awards. She sits on the Brain Injury Advisory Council through the Brain Injury Association of America and is also involved with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance’s “citizen advocates.” She travels the country with her Yorkie, Pixxie, to help raise awareness about this silent and invisible injury that affects 2.8 Million Americans each year.
