Interested in going to the next level and
becoming a trauma-informed trainer?

The Greater Charlottesville Trauma Informed Community Network
is now accepting applications for a Train the Trainer curriculum

FIRST STEP: attend the May 7 seminar, which lays an important foundation for learning and understanding the Five Domains.

Train the Trainer is a learning collaborative with Dr. Allison Jackson. It will consist of one 8-hour day of classroom training followed by six 90-minute webinars. The schedule is as follows:

One 8-hour Classroom training:
Friday, June 15
Six 90-Minute Webinars at 9:00 am:
Wednesday, July 25
Thursday, August 23
Wednesday, September 12
Tuesday, October 23
Monday, November 19
Tuesday, December 18

Each 90-minute webinar session will allow participants to “teach back” to Dr. Jackson to ensure they understand the material and can present it effectively. The class is expected to do practice presentations between sessions. The TICN can assist with these practice presentations.

Up to to fifteen (15) men and women can participate in Train the Trainer

At the end of the course, your mastery of the Five Domains will enable you to help raise awareness in our community about the prevalence of trauma and its impact on adults, children, and families.

Attend the four-hour "Five Domains" seminar on May 7. This is a prerequisite for participating in Train the Trainer.

Graduates agree to make at least three (3) presentations annually. Co-presentation is encouraged. The Network will help schedule and coordinate these events.

Evaluations of the community presentations will be processed by the TICN Training Committee.
