Camp Rough Riders was started 26 years ago with the intent of making history fun while children learn about Roswell history and life during the 1800s. Camp introduces 6 to 11 year olds to cooking over an open hearth, blacksmithing, candle dipping, gardening, beekeeping, ice cream making, woodworking and more. Special guests may include a Civil War Soldier, a Ranger, the Quilt and Sampler Guild, and Chattahoochee Nature Center naturalist who identifies native plants and animals found on Bulloch Hall property. The parents join their children on the last day for a cookout and ice cream social.
