The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce congratulates the 2018 Chamber Award Winners and invites members and friends to the Annual Awards Luncheon, proudly sponsored by Five Star Bank, at The Springside Inn.
These Chamber of Commerce members are being recognized for their unique contributions to the economy and overall development of Cayuga County:
Cynthia Bouley, Aversa Agency, Inc. - Phyllis Goldman Award: recognizes a woman who owns a business (or is a majority owner) and has demonstrated a noteworthy entrepreneurial pursuit. Nominees are owners in for-profit businesses (within the last seven years) who inspire and mentor other women to do the same. The Phyllis Goldman Encouragement Award is given in honor and memory of Phyllis Goldman, a local business woman. Phyllis inspired women to stretch themselves beyond society’s norms and expectations by following their dreams and hearts as they pursue a career and redirected their life paths.
Alex Schloop, Inns of Aurora - Terri Bridenbecker Young Professional Award: recognizes an individual, under the age of 40, who is pursuing excellence in their career.
Small Business of the Year Awards:
King’s Auto Supply, owner Chris King - In Business Less Than 5 Years – demonstrates entrepreneurship evidenced by diversification, creativity & imagination.
1840 Dulles Inn, Elizabeth Koenig - In Business 5+ Years – demonstrates the ability to overcome adversities in the ever-changing business environment and staying power with a commitment to community involvement.
Business Leader Award:

The Business Leader award honors businesses that continually invest in Cayuga County & have shown leadership by taking an active role in our community.
Non-Profit of the Year Award:
Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity
The Non-profit of the year award recognizes a non-profit organization that contributes to the success of our community by enhancing the quality of life or contributing to the economic base of Cayuga County.
