Please join MSM for our spring admissions event. As a compliment to our fall MSM Heads of School Retreat we have invited Geordie Mitchell, Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Strategic Initiatives at BB&N (Buckingham, Brown, & Nichols), to return and work with admissions staff on "Unpacking Montessori Terminology for Prospective Families". We hope you will be able to join us for this valuable presentation, lunch, and a follow-up admissions discussion.
This event is being offered, free of charge, as a benefit of your Montessori Schools of Massachusetts membership. Each school is invited to bring a maximum of two admissions staff to this event.
Registration closes on April 23rd at 5PM.
About the Speaker
Geordie Mitchell is currently the Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Strategic Initiatives at BB&N (Buckingham, Brown, & Nichols) in Cambridge, MA. Geordie is highly experienced in the areas of admissions, enrollment management, marketing, and development. His talk at the MSM 2017 Heads Retreat received rave reviews. Geordie currently serves as a Trustee at Summit Montessori School in Framingham.
The Workshop
Those of us who are Montessori “insiders” are very familiar with the many benefits that students derive from our programs. But often we speak to the broader world (including prospective families) as if they were already familiar with our internal jargon. During this interactive session, intended for all school personnel responsible for Admissions, Marketing, and Communications, Geordie will lead the exercise of unpacking and translating our Montessori lexicon so that we can explain what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what differentiates Montessori from other approaches…without the buzz words!
