Pine Burr Quilt Square Workshop

Learn how to make your own Pine Burr quilt square, the official quilt pattern of Alabama, in this hands-on workshop led by quilter      Loretta Pettway Bennett.

Admission is free, advance registration is required. Space is limited.

Participants will need to bring a 9" muslin square, fabric (colors/patterns of your choice) thread, and needles. To save time, it's recommended that participants bring sixty-six, pre-cut 3" fabric squares. A limited number of kits that include the muslin square and pre-cut squares will be available for purchase at the event.

This program is an Alabama Bicentennial Cultural Initiative of the Alabama Folklife Association, funded by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Daniel Foundation of Alabama, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
