Audiology Resources surveyed its approximately 5000 contacts and asked: "What are the topics you would most like to learn or hear more about in 2018"?  Well, we listened and created a special, one-day event solely focused on the most requested topics in healthcare reform, coding, reimbursement, managed care and pricing.  This event will not talk about what "might happen" but will focus on how to assist audiologists in managing what they are currently experiencing when dealing with patients, new competition, third-party administrators and insurance.

Respondents also requested that we couple the event to a national audiology meeting and that I speak in conjunction with the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) annual convention. You can learn more about the ADA convention at http://www.audiologist.org/events/audacity-2018/general-information

As a result, Kim Cavitt, AuD and Audiology Resources will be hosting a special, focused OneDay Boot Camp on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 8AM to 5PM at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL.  The course will run from 8AM to 5PM.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Hotel accomodations are available at the Gaylord for $189 per night.  You can book your room at http://www.audiologist.org/events/audacity-2018/general-information

The course will be worth .8 CEUs  (8 hours of continuing education).  CEUs will be offered and is pending approval by the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).  AAA ABA Tier 1 credit will be available from this course. Please note: ASHA does not require that a program need to be approved by ASHA to count towards re-certification.  As a result, no ASHA CEUs will be offered.  You can learn more at http://www.asha.org/certification/maintFAQs/#do%20I%20have%20to%20earn.

The course is geared to audiology practices, otolaryngology practices which house an audiology department, hospital audiology departments or hearing aid dispensing practices which employ audiologists.  Registration is open to practice managers, audiologists, coders, office staff, hearing aid dispensers and AuD students.

The Boot Camp will address all of the following topics.  Dr. Cavitt will be available to answer attendee questions throughout the training event and will address attendee questions following the conclusion of the Boot Camp until February 1, 2019 at no additional charge.  This is included in the course fee.
