OSU's John Glenn Leadership Training 

What is it?

OCATO has partnered with OSU John Glenn College of Public Affairs to bring our members this training series suitable for aspiring, emerging, and experienced leaders. The series of five full-day workshops will include topics such as Understanding Yourself and Others, Incorporating Change, Building Capacity, Leading Performance, and Tying it All Together. 

When are the workshops?

Tentative 2018 dates are the second Tuesday of June through October (June 26th, July 10th, August 14th, September 11th, and October 9th).

Where are they?

Workshops will be held in the Columbus area. The specific locations to be determined. 

Who should attend?

This training series is open and free to OACAA members only. Interested participants should commit to attending all workshops and should complete an application and submit it to Josh Summer before May 18th.

 

Trainer Bio

Brian Cole Miller

As author, teacher and team builder Brian brings people together in inclusive, direct and honest ways. His passion for helping people improve relationships is based in his belief of being truthful without being brutal.

Brian holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Development, and has over 25 years' experience working with the Public and Private sector and teaching at community colleges and universities.

He has worked with Nationwide Insurance; NAIS's People of Color Conference; Agencies in the State of Ohio; Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield; Communications Workers of America (CWA); US Air Force; American Red Cross

In 2007 VISA chose him to be their spokesperson for their small-business web campaign and Franklin Covey tapped him to write a book for them on balancing home and work life.

Brian's insight, humor, and energy focus on results and he measures his own success by how he helps others to succeed.
