Intarsia is a fun way to add stranded colorwork images to a piece of knitting without having to continue the image all the way across the piece. Many of the UW kits use this technique throughout the patterns to adorn the pieces with UW and Steamboat logos.
This technique can be used to embellish any piece of knitting but it looks fabulous on hats, mittens, scarves and blanket squares.
In this course we will begin a small square featuring the Steamboat logo. Use this as a practice piece or use it as a mug rug or even sew it on to another piece for a festive pocket!
