Assisting new Americans and providing sanctuary have become major topics for many parishes in the wake of escalating federal government deportations. Join us for a discussion with Bishops Ian Douglas (CT),Nicholas Knisely (RI), and Tom Ely (VT) as we discuss of the state of immigration policies and diocesan responses in Province 1. Chris George, the Director of Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS)(http://www.irisct.org), will provide context for our discussion. He has worked in international development, human rights, and refugee assistance for more than 30 years.

James McKim, Province 1 Representative to the Episcopal church Executive Council's Antiracism Committee and its chairperson, will facilitate the presentation.

The Rev. Karen Brown Montagno, Chair of the Province 1 Task Force on Multicultural Awareness and Cultural Competency will be our chaplain.
