Play is the highest form of research." (Albert Einstein).  At STEAM Camp Innovation we will explore coding, robotics, electronics, engineering, stop motion animation and have hands-on time in our makerspace. Come play with Sphero, BB-8, Dash and Dot, OSMO, Bloxels, Green Screen and much more!

Station 1: Robotics

Students will engage in exciting robotics activities with Sphero and Dash robots designed specifically for their age level.

Station 2: Coding

Students will explore Computer Science Fundamentals using coding resources from Scratch, Code.org, and Bitsbox. Students will have the opportunity to create their own apps and games while they learn the basics of coding.

Station 3: Animation & Film

Students will also engage in stop motion animation activities and film production opportunities.  They will plan, write, and edit their own short films including creating characters, backgrounds and props.

Station 4: Maker Playground

Students will have creative freedom in our makerspace to make, create, tinker, and build.  Our Maker Playground will have many various STEAM activities such as Snap Circuits, littleBits, Makey Makey, Bloxels, engineering materials to build, and makerspace materials to create!

Whole Group Project:

In addition to rotations, students will work in small groups throughout the week to design and create a marble run of epic proportions using recycled materials. Each day, students will be offered extensions, new materials to incorporate and challenges to add to and improve their marble runs.  On Friday, students will demonstrate their projects for campers and parents..
