"You don't need a cape to be a hero.  You just need to care ." - Kid President

Do you have a big heart and like to help others? If so, we need you as part of our Service Learning Project team.  We will be collaborating on groups (people, the environment, and animals) that might need our help and problem solve how we might be able to help them with our given time and resources.  We will narrow down which project will best fit our group and get to work helping those around us. Students will also leave the week with an action plan of how they might want to help their community with a project that speaks to them.

Our district is filled with students that have a passion to help others. Let's use that and sprinkle kindess like it is confetti!

Kids that Care will inspire students to:

  • Find ways to help others: students will look at the world around them and find groups (people, animals, environment) that could use some help.  Students will work in groups to create proposals for a service project and present it to the board.
  • Collaboratively work in teams to execute the service project. Make phone calls, organize times, find supplies, reserach...the students really see how much they can do even at a young age.
  • Create a "passion project" proposal.  Students will walk through the steps of creating thier individual projects of how they want to help others.  They will create a presentation about what they want to do to impact the world around them, even after class is over.
