Announcing Girlfriends Craft Day at the Island’s Creative Escape!

Join Nikki for a day of crafting fun with all your friends – new and old!  It’s the day before Mother’s Day – let’s all take a day for our selves and have some fun!  The event includes two action packed classes – Background Techniques for Cards and Crafty Girl Mini Album.

What is included in the day? – Two classes, lunch, prizes and a $10 discount for signing up for the day!

 

Can’t make it to both classes?  That’s okay!  You can still sign up for them individually!

First Class:  Background Techniques for Cards 10am to 1:30pm

  • Tim Holtz Distress Oxides
  • Embossing Glitter Paste

Techniques include how to make:

  • Galaxy Backgrounds
  • Embossing Paste and Stenciling

  • Different types of Alcohol Ink Backgrounds
What to bring to class (Background Techniques for Cards): Paper trimmer, scissors, your favorite wet and dry adhesive, craft mat, foam tape, tweezers, small paint brush, distress oxides if you have them (Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Shaded Lilac) and blending foam.
Crafty Girl Mini Album 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm

I love this new crafty collection from Simple Stories! We will be making a mini album full of flaps, folds, accordions, pockets, tags, page protectors and more.  You will be stunned with what you walk away with!  And the papers and embellishments are full of awesome icons, fun sayings and beautiful colors!  It’s a perfect album to make with your friends and store all your favorite crafting memories and ideas! 
What to bring to class - Paper trimmer, scissors, your favorite wet and dry adhesive, foam tape, tweezers, bone folder, glue dots, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher (or small stapler), Tim Holtz Binder Punch or a hole punch, corner rounder and any other favorite tools.
 
Class has a 5 student minimum
