PeaceJam Belgium Team Application 

What is a PeaceJam Team member ?

 Team members create the space and energy of the event to ensure that all participants feel welcomed and safe to engage in the challenge topics of social justice and world peace. We welcome all team members - shy, outgoing, experienced leaders, first-timers, activists, educators, you name it! You will part of the crew and we will make sure you're well prepared before the event.

Volunteers : we need you for the practical and logistical elements of the event. Registration, answering questions, getting the food out on time, making sure speakers & mentors have what they need, etc.  You'll make sure the event runs smoothly and that everything / everyone is provided for.

Mentors : you'll facilitate in pairs a family group of around 10 participants.  You support in their journey of peace education, inspiration and action. You'll probe them with questions, play games and help sustain their conversations.You must be a near-peer, which means college-aged (don't have to actually be in college but must be between the ages of 18 and 30).

PeaceJam Team Member Commitment:

• Attend the 2018 Youth Leadership Conference on 23-24 February 2018 at KULeuven

• Attend the mandatory dress rehearsal on Friday 22 February 2018 at KULeuven

• Be present -in every sense of the word- for the full duration of the indicated times.
  (Friday 12h00-19h00, Saturday 08h00-20h00 & Sunday 08h00-18h30.)
