The New Tax Law and Your Business 

Key Tax Reform Changes for Small Businesses

Who should attend?
Small business executives who need to be updated on
the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Overview

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act takes effect January 1, 2018, and is a major piece of tax legislation with real life implications for your business. This workshop will give those in business and looking to start a business enhanced understanding of the recently passed new tax code.

At the end of this workshop, you will, as it pertains to the New Tax Law,
have the knowledge to:

  • Define the Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction
  • Describe the tax implications of entity selection 
  • Summarize New Depreciation options
  • Discuss how to apply Meal/Entertainment, Mortgage Interest, and Real Estate deductions to your own business situation

Instructor:  Andrew C. Presti

Andrew Presti founded Presti & Naegele (www.pntax.com) in  1982, where he is now Senior Partner. P & N is an accounting and technology consulting firm that provides accounting, auditing, payroll and tax services to small and larger businesses. The firm employs 35 full time accountants and has a varied client base in multiple industries. It is the largest QuickBooks consulting organization in New York City.

Andrew has been preparing tax returns for 35 years and is currently an IRS Enrolled Agent. He is a CEO of Metropolitan Archives, a company that services the real estate industry. He co-founded First Central Savings Bank where he serves on the Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive, Investment, Audit, Corporate Governance and IT Committees. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. John’s University.
