Target Audience
This course is designed for the TB professional who is responsible for training staff and other health care workers on the proper placement and reading of the tuberculin skin test (TST).
Conference Goal
The goal of this training is to enhance the expertise of the local TB health care trainer. Participants effective adult learning techniques to teach other health care professionals how to use a TB skin test.
Conference Objectives
Using interactive lectures, case studies, and hands on TST skill building exercises, participants will learn when and how to place a TB skin test, gain knowledge of adult learning principles, and gain skills in the planning and execution of a TST workshop for their own staff.
Format
The format for this course will be lecture-style presentations with individual skill building practicum exercises. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
