What is VBS?
VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. VBS at STM involves hundreds of students and volunteers including our Parish Clergy. We invite you to join us but don't delay! All are welcome and registration fills up fast! VBS stands for Vacation Bible School.
What is the theme of STM's VBS?
The theme is "Marvelous Mystery: The Mass Comes Alive!"This program has been especially designed to help the Mass come alive for your child(ren)! During the week, your children will come to better understand the Catholic Mass and deepen their love and appreciation for Jesus in the Eucharist.
When is STM's VBS and where will I work?
STM's VBS is July 09-13, 2018. Children participate each day from 9:00-12:00. Volunteers will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time. Activities will take place on the STM grounds both inside and outside.
What if I am not available to volunteer during VBS?
We understand that working parents may not be available to help during camp hours. We also have some weekend jobs and some work-from-home jobs that you can do so please sign up and choose the appropriate selections based on your schedule.
Who is allowed to volunteer?
All adults and teens in the STM community are welcome to volunteer. You do not need to be a parishioner to help with STM's VBS. Adults can register here. Rising 8th through graduated 12th graders should click here to volunteer. All adult volunteers need to be Safe Environment or VIRTUS approved. If you need to obtain this approval, you will receive instructions during the confirmation process. It involves simple paperwork, a background check, and an in person training session.
Who is allowed to attend STM VBS?
STM VBS is open to all children entering Kindergarten - 7th grade in the fall. Students in rising 8th through graduated 12th grade are invited to volunteer and earn service hours.
How much will VBS cost per student?
VBS is $45 per child for all participants. Financial aid is available if needed. All FULL TIME volunteers get a 50% discount on their registration fees.
