This year CPAG Whangarei  are hosting a child-focused analysis and commentary of the years budget. The aim is to provide an accessible and affordable avenue for the community to come together and hear about how the budget affects children and young people, especially our most vulnerable who live in poverty.

Speakers 

Hon Assoc Prof Susan St John-  Susan is a founding member of CPAG and CPAG spokesperson on economics & incomes. She is an Honorary Associate Professor in the Economics Department, University of Auckland and the director of the Retirement Policy and Research Centre. Susan has contributed to a wide range of CPAG publications and the Human Rights Appeal Case.

Addressing the Budget's impact on Taitokerau as regards to Education - is Huhana Lyndon of Te Matarau Education Trust; Youth - is Rebecca Hooker of the RAID Movement; Housing and Justice - are Debbie and Ngahau Davis of He Iwi Kotahi Tatou and Te Mana o Ngapuhi Kowhao Rau.
