Track & Field Meet
For Veteran & Youth Athletes With Disabilities

The 4th Annual BlazeSports America Olympic Day Track & Field Meet is an open meet for all 
Youth and Adult Track & Field athletes with physical disabilities, both ambulatory and wheelchair.

TRACK EVENTS: 

20m, 60m, 60m Weave,100m, 200m, 400m, 800m,1500m, 3000m, 5000m
New this year - electronic timing!

FIELD EVENTS: 

SHOT PUT, DISCUS, CLUB, LONG JUMP, HIGH JUMP

 

The 2018 BlazeSports America Olympic Day Track & Field Meet is sanctioned by Adaptive Sports USA, and is a Paralympian Meet & Greet with the power couple:

Jessica Galli Cloy & Gavin Cloy

Racing in the T53 classification for athletes with limited abdominal function, Jessica has competed in four Paralympic Games, winning seven medals, including gold in the 400 meters at Beijing in 2008. She is also the current World Record holder T53 200m, 400m and 800m.

Gavin is recognized as one of the best wheelchair basketball players in the world. He played on Team USA during the 2004 Paralympic Games, and in 2006, won a Silver medal during the World Games in Amsterdam. From 1998 - 2003, he attended the University of Illinois on a wheelchair basketball scholarship, where he majored in Kinesiology; he was a two-time All American, and graduated with a honors. 

Competing at the international level for over a decade, Jessica and Gavin have witnessed firsthand the rapid progression of the Paralympics from being just the “sister games to the Olympics” into the second largest sporting event in the world (after the Olympics).

2018 BlazeSports America Waiver and Release of Liability and Publicity Waiver
(READ BEFORE REGISTERING ) 

The undersigned acknowledges and agrees as follows:

I hereby agree not to sue and release, hold harmless, and forever discharge, BlazeSports America, Inc. any co-sponsoring entities of the Programs, all of their officers, directors, members, agents, and/or employees, and any and all sponsors, officials, volunteers, and other participants of the BlazeSports Track and Field Meet (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or any property  belonging to me, whether arising from negligence of any of the Releasees, or otherwise, while participating, including transportation to and from said programs. 

I hereby consent to the administration of first aid or other medical treatment if needed during the track and field meet.  I agree to assume full responsibility for payment of any and all fees incurred as a result of such medical treatment.  I understand that all participants in this track and field  are required to have their own medical insurance coverage, and that neither BlazeSports America, Inc. or any other sponsoring entities provide such coverage.

I hereby voluntarily and without compensation authorize visual images and/or voice recordings to be made of me by or on behalf of BlazeSports America, Inc. and other sponsoring entities during the Programs.  I also authorize the foregoing entities and their assigns to reproduce, modify, publicize, broadcast and display any such visual

This covenant not to sue, release and hold harmless agreement is binding on me, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, administrators, and next of kin.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
