Thank you for your interest in being a PeaceJam TEAM member at the Youth Leadership Conference on 15-17 June 2018! You'll get to spend the day developing your own leadership and investing in the next generation of peacebuilders. Here's what you need to know:
What are the roles available?
A PeaceJam Volunteer helps run the conference. Volunteers are involved in the
practical and logistical elements of the conference, including: assisting with the
preparation and setting up, providing information and guidance, registration, social
media and ensuring everyone and everthing is catered for.
A PeaceJam Mentor is a person who facilitates small groups of younger students
(aged 14-18) at the annual PeaceJam Youth Conference. Mentors are paired up to
create the space and energy to ensure that all participants feel welcomed and safe, to
engage in challenging discussions, based on peace, conflict resolution and human
rights. To mentor, you must be 18 to 26 years old. We welcome all mentors- shy,
outgoing, experienced leaders, first time mentors, activists, educators, you name it!
