Annual Awards Dinner

June 16, 2018 

The 2018 AFA Gabriel Chapter Annual Awards Dinner will be held a tthe Hyatt Regency - Dulles in Herndon, VA.  A three course dinner will be served with a cjhoice of chicken or steak.  The guest speaker is Major General Daivid A. Krumm, who is the Deputy Director for Requirements and Capability Development (J8), Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He is responsible for assisting the Chairman of the JCS in identifying, assessing and approving joint miltary requirements to meet the national military strategy; and ensuring the consideration of trade-offs between cost, schedule, and performance objectives for those requirements.  In this role, he orchestrates Joint Staff suppprt of the capabiliites development process through the Joint Capabiliites Integration and Develpment System.  He also oversees the validation of joint urgent operational needs leading to the fielding of rapid sol;utions for combatant commanders.  Additionally, as the Chair of the Force Appication Functional Capabiliites Board, he oversees and advocates for changes to the maneuver and engagement capabilities of the Force Application Joint Capability Area.

NOTE:  The Gabriel Chapter won't be having a separate luncheon in June.  The monthly meeting will be this awards dinner.

The menu for the plated dinner will include a salad of Baby Mixed Greens, Local Feta Cheese, Tomato, Sunflower Seeds with Cracked Pepper Vinaigrette.  Entree is a chioce of Grilled Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Mixed Vegetables, or Grilled Flank Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Mixed Vegetables.  For dessert we will have Chocolate Mousse Cake with Brandy Soaked Cherries.

The Gabriel Chapter wil be hosting a hospitality suite (The Horozon Suite) on Friday and Saturday eveings.
