The Smyth County Chamber of Commerce will honor Smyth County businesses and industries for their contributions to our community at the annual Business and Industry Appreciation Luncheon. All Smyth County business and industry leaders are invited to attend.
Delegate Israel O'Quinn will speak about multiple pieces of opioid-related legislation passed by the Virginia General Assembly and the positive effects of that legislation. Delegate O'Quinn represents the Fifth District which includes the Cities of Bristol and Galax, Grayson County and parts of Smyth and Washington Counties.
Population Health Coordinator Breanne Forbes Hubbard, MPH from the Mount Rogers District of the Virginia Department of Health will discuss the impact of the opioid epidemic to Virginia employers.
