MaSEA MA Government Day  

1:00PM-4:00PM

This is our second annual Government Day. We invite people from various Massachusetts government agency to discuss issues tangential to taxes.

This year our topics are:

1:15- 2:00 -Deeds including homestead rules, debt issues around homestead, life estates, and more. The speakers will be Mary Olberding and Patricia Harris.

2:00-2:45- WISP — Christopher Ryan from the Attorney Generals Office will talk about the WISP requirements and enforcement. 

2:45-3:00- Afternoon Break

3:00-3:45- Child support — Pete Rencsko, an attorney and manager at MA DOR will discuss child support, how refunds are withheld, garnishing wages, etc.

Government Day is $40. 


MASEA 2018 Annual Meeting Agenda, 4:00 to 5:55pm

Hear committee reports; elect next year's directors and officers. Learn what new items have been added to the budget revenue and expense stream. It's the governance of MaSEA. Please celebrate the Society's birthday party with us!

No cost and no IRS CPE to attend and participate in the annual meeting.

6pm Dinner- $50 for members, $70 for nonmembers 

6:45-  Noah Berger, from the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center will be the speaker to present the economics of 2018 tax changes on MA taxpayers and businesses.

8pm Installation of Directors & Officers

CPE credits count toward fulfillment of the Continuing Professional Education requirements of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents and the Internal Revenue Service. Except education credits for state tax courses will not count toward IRS requirements under Circular 230.
