This Service Learning Project provides a ten week curriculum to out-of-school time programs to create a Service to Careers Club. They will be able to choose a community to serve, create a service project based on surveyed community needs, and interview a representative from your local Workforce Board to ask who could inform their projects. Projects can continue beyond the intial ten weeks, but the curriculum will supply the club with interview questions, feild trip interview strategies, and a weekly progression through project development and implementation.
This training will be a two hour training at OregonASK, where we will get to know the other participating educators and get familiar with the curriculum! After the training, we will have at least two check-in online meetings that we will schedule together and use to hear about group progress and get feedback.
